Fishing - Silver Buddy - Catches Anything That Swims

Fishing - Press Release

Since the inception of the worlds most famous blade bait over 20 years ago, Silver Buddy Lures have been either silver or gold plated. With the addition of the "new" chameleon color just a few years ago, Silver Buddy's relied on their fish-catching flash along with lateral line locating vibration to hook fish. Today, the Kentucky-based manufacturer is introducing photogenic fish-catching colors demanded by anglers across the country.

Silver Buddy President Kendall Banks said, "After years of watching Ted Turner colorize the classics, I decided it was time for us to colorize our classics!" Silver Buddy lures now come in four of the most popular fish catching patterns in the industry.

"Research has shown chrome with a blue back is the most popular pattern in the lipless crankbaits, and fire tiger is the most popular in other crankbaits...these are the first colorized baits we will be selling." The new Silver Buddy lures will have high gloss chip resistant finishes and will be available in four fish attracting colors: Chrome/Blue back, Fire Tygart (chartruse, green, orange, black), Universal Shad (pearl white/blue back), Craw Tygart (brown/orange/black).

Potomac River guide Captain Steve Chaconas has been fishing the prototypes. "These patterns give me the flexibility to fish the Silver Buddy in a variety of methods under nearly all water conditions in every season. "When I took these lures out in the sunlight I realized their real potiential."

The colorized baits will be available in all Silver Buddy sizes from 1/8 ounce up to 1-ounce. "Fisherman have been trying to paint our Silver Buddy lures for years....now they will have the proven patterns with professionally painted finishes made in America," according to Banks.
