Hunting Bows - Part III

Hunting Bows For 2006

Hunting Bows Part III-The Browning illusion has speeds of 305 to 315 fps. The cam on them has four inches of adjustability without a press they are 27" to 30". Installing a short draw inner cam allows draw length to be adjusted down two inches, to a 25" draw length which might make them long term bows for smaller stature archers or a younger growing hunter. The let-off is 80%, and can be adjusted down to 65%. The Top Gun SRS (String Recoil Suppressor) System stops the string from vibrating after the shot. The Illusion looks and feel great with Mossy Oak New Break-Up hunting camo finish and a smooth machined ergonomic grip with wood side panels. The riser has a center shot alignment mark for simple and accurate arrow rest Setup.

BowTech

BowTech continues to come on strong as a manufacturer. BowTech manufactures a full line of advanced bows featuring the company's exclusive Binary Cam System for superior balance, efficiency, power and accuracy. In only a few short years, BowTech has become a leading choice of avid archers to take hunting and archery enthusiasts nationwide.

The Binary Cam System is an advanced technology designed to overcome the inherent, Accuracy problems of single, dual-cam and hybrid cam systems. BowTech's Binary Cam System gives it all of the pluses of a two-cam system and takes it one step further by having both cams responsible or slaved to one another. Since both cams depend upon one another they can never go out of sync. The Binary Cam featured on BowTech bows improves power and efficiency while increasing accuracy which is critical in hunting bows. Another great advantage of BowTech's Binary Cam System is the option to choose either of two different sets of modules (or purchase both) based on if you are practicing or hunting. The smooth module provides an ultra smooth-as-silk draw force curve and added forgiveness - ideal for extended target practice and 3D tournaments. When you feel the need for some serious speed from your hunting bows, simply swap to the speed modules (no press necessary). This exclusive feature is like having two bows in one, a bow for hunting and a smoother one for practice. Both module options are available in half-inch increments. It's innovations like this that will put BowTech on top of the hunting bow market and keep them there.

BowTech Tribute - BowTech states the new Tribute gives hunters a combination of stability, smoothness and versatile performance that defies conventional wisdom and defines the future of hunting bows technology. They have a unique combination of parallel limbs and a long riser which helps make them compact and more stable. The heart is BowTech's Binary Cam System. BowTech's Tribute Bow measures 31-1/2" axle to axle, with a 7-1/2" brace height and a mass weight of 4.1 pounds. It is available with draw length modules in half-inch increments from 26" to 30" and they have peak draw weights of 50, 60, 70 and 80 pounds. If you prefer hunting with heavier peak weights you can special order the Tribute with peak draw weights of 90 or 100 pounds. Last, but not least you can also adjust let-off from 65- to 80-percent, and achieve IBO speed ratings of 320 to 328 feet-per-second.

All BowTech bows feature Mossy Oak Obsession as the standard finish. They also provide a variety of finishes for whatever environment you are hunting in. Special order finishes include: Mossy Oak Brush RealTree Hardwoods HD, RealTree Hardwoods Green HD and Advantage Max-4. The best part of purchasing a BowTech Tribute is portions of every sale go toward the T.A.P.S. program. BowTech will contribute a portion of the sale from each of their Tributes to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). Each year, this non-profit Veteran Service Organization offers comfort, support and assistance to hundreds of American families who face the tragedy of losing a loved one in the armed forces. These are bows you can take hunting and feel good about knowing you're supporting our troops.

Diamond Archery was bought by BowTech in 2004. It appears BowTech is aiming their Diamond Archery line toward the value minded bow hunter who wants the most out of their hunting gear dollar. This is evidenced by BowTech sending some of their bows over to Diamond to manufacture and market going forward. Diamond introduced three bows in 2005 The Diamond Victory Bows, The Diamond Triumph Bows and The Rapture Bows. This year all three return lighter and better looking. Diamond has also added the Rapture Lite bows, designed for smaller-framed archers who require shorter draw lengths.

The big news for Diamond so far this year is the addition of the three from BowTech to their advanced line up of hunting bows. All of Diamond's Bows for hunting mentioned above use one of three proven single cam designs. The three cams Diamond offered are the Rascal, Freedom and Solitaire Cam. These cams are highly adjustable and feature a draw stop post allowing fine tuning of draw length and improved shot accuracy.

The competition in the hunting bows market isn't showing any signs of cooling down. Hunting Gear manufacturers are throwing everything they have into research and technology. Hunting bows and bow hunters are the ones benefiting from it by being able to take these advanced bows into the woods with us hunting. Remember the goal in hunting is always a quick clean kill.
