Rocket Steelhead 100 Grain Expandable Broadhead Review
In my opinion, this is the finest broadhead I have used to date. I have had the luxury of being able to harvest an unlimited amount of deer (doe) during the archery season and also through damage permits acquired by several golf courses.
Over the last three years I have shot well over 100 deer with this broadhead. Sounds extreme but it is the truth. All but four of these deer were recovered and none of the recovered deer traveled more than one hundred yards. Shot placement was good on almost all of the deer but the fact that this broadhead performed flawlessly should not be overlooked.
I have NEVER lost a single blade and the blood trails have been excellent. I am color blind so the only way I can even see the blood trail without the help of a friend is for it to be wet and plentiful. These heads are also very compact so they do not change your front of center. They fly identical to your field points out to just about any distance. ( I have tested them to 80 yards with identical impact) They are quiet in flight and despite having blades that fold close to the tip they have never deflected on me. Many of my shots have been hard quartering away as this is my favorite shot. When I am hunting for the big boys this is the broadhead I trust on the end of my arrow.
