BERKLEY VANISH TRANSITION FISHING LINE

Fishing

Fishing- Vanish, America’s favorite fluorocarbon fishing line, just took a quantum leap forward with a technological break through in fishing line performance. Berkley has created Vanish Transition, a unique and innovative fishing line three years in the making. When exposed to sunlight, clear Transition physically turns to a hi-vis color, for better line tracking and detection of bites. But once Transition hits the water it returns to its clear color, just like original Vanish, making the line virtually invisible below the surface to both angler and fish.

Transition with it’s unique chameleon properties assists anglers when line visibility is important as in clear water and the passive techniques of finesse, jig and worm fishing. Yet seeing subtle bites is every bit as important as feeling them to many anglers in these conditions. The bite of some finicky fish must to be visualized to be detected. They are nearly impossible to feel. The deep gold line color stands out, plainly visible to anglers. Fish aren’t spooked and anglers can detect strikes faster.

Transition has a clear appearance in the package on the store shelf and will keep that appearance as long as it is kept out of sunlight. The optical additive engineered into the fluorocarbon changes to the gold color when exposed to sunlight or UV light. The optical systems molecules change their molecular structure undergoing a temporary chemical change. Once the light is removed, the chemical process is reversed and the line returns to the clear state.

Transition retains all of the characteristics of the improved Vanish formula; strength, smooth casting, low memory formulation, and fewer backlashes.

Fluorocarbon line does not absorb water and maintains 100 percent of its knot and line strength when wet. Vanish is more flexible and has a higher knot strength than before. It is more abrasion-resistant, and has higher sensitivity compared to most nylon monofilament lines. Because the line is denser the line sinks allowing for deeper running baits with less bow in the line.

Transition has a suggested retail price of $14.99 for filler spools of 250 yards in the 4,6 and 8-pound test sizes, $16.99 for 10 through 20-pound test sizes. The larger 300 and 350-yard custom spool has a suggested retail price of $39.99 for the 30 and 40-pound test and $47.99 for 50-pound test. The 2,000-yard bulk spools start at $104.99. Transition is available is line sizes from 4- to 50-pound test.
