PlotSpike announces its newest seed mix, Forage Feast, designed to provide the best features of several types of deer forage plants. Forage Feast is well suited to a wide range of soil conditions. It germinates quickly and provides several months of palatable forage that is high in nutritional value. Southern food plots can be planted with Forage Feast in September and October, and deer will use the plot from fall to spring. At higher elevations and colder climates, Forage Feast should be planted in August and will produce forage until severe cold begins.
PlotSpike recommends planting 40 pounds to ¾ acre. As with preparing any food plot, they recommend first conducting soil tests on fields to be planted with Forage Feast, then fertilizing and amending the soil as indicated by the tests.
