hunting DVD called “Bowhunting the Wild West 3”.
Bowhunting the Wild West 3 gets off to a fast start as
you accompany Matt Liljenquist and his father Randy when they find, hunt, and
then ultimately harvest Matt’s New Mexico state record Rocky Mountain bighorn
in the Pecos Wilderness.
Matt’s enthusiasm as he narrates the hunt is infectious.
You find yourself pulling for him each step of the way. The suspense builds until
you feel like you are the hunter.
If you love big-antlered mule deer, John May’s spot and stalk hunt in
eastern Colorado will leave you bug-eyed. With the rut winding down, John and
his cameraman slip toward a huge buck that responds by walking toward them.
Additional highlights are quick to follow as Corky Richardson shoots a
giant Arizona bull elk with a tough shot in the third hunt segment. Corky then
offers a touching tribute to his father, who joined him for the hunt. You feel
honored to witness this important moment in the hunting tradition.
You won’t want to miss two hunts for Arizona Bison as Cindi Richardson,
guided by husband Corky, completes her historic quest for all ten of Arizona’s big
game animals. Within hours, Brian Ham follows suit to accomplish Arizona’s
second bowhunting Big 10 slam, all caught on video. Mixed in you will chase
Columbia blacktail deer in the gorgeous and rugged foothills of northern
California, go with Pete Shepley as he stalks and shoots his largest wild boar and
pursue bears and turkeys across the west.
There are many exciting moments in Bowhunting the Wild West 3, but this
DVD is also a tribute to the western hunting tradition, and to the value of family.
It offers a refreshing change of pace with engaging variety. The 85-minute DVD,
also available as VHS, features nine big game hunts and two turkey hunts, all in
the western United States and Canada. It is just real hunting by real hunters.
