Hunting Gear - CHESTER, Va. (02/12/04) – Three new riflescopes have joined the extraordinarily
popular 6.5-20x50 MC in the 50mm objective series of CONQUEST riflescopes. Carl Zeiss
Sports Optics takes great pleasure in announcing the introduction of the 3-9x50, 3.5-10x50 and
4.5-14x50mm trio of 1-inch tube riflescopes to complement and expand the CONQUEST line.
Designed to provide the North American hunter and sports shooter with the finest in optical
clarity and mechanical reliability, the new CONQUEST 50mm series scopes will deliver the
finest performance in all light conditions.
The CONQUEST 50mm line is a product of Zeiss’ legendary German engineering and, yet, is
assembled in the United States. The end result is a riflescope of exceptional quality at a very
competitive price when compared to similar scopes in its category. Besides the use of lead
and arsenic free glass, the CONQUEST 50mm series scopes features Zeiss’ exceptional MC
multicoatings on all air to glass surfaces. The MC multicoatings enhance the clarity of the image
by affording truer color and higher contrast through increased light transmission in the blue range. The CONQUEST’s coatings and 50mm objectives assure brighter images and better
colors in low light situations; at dawn, dusk, and whenever visibility is limited.
The CONQUEST 50mm riflescopes also have a scratch-resistant, anodized
surface that offers years of protection against rugged use. Guaranteed to be water and dust-
proof, the riflescope is subjected to sealing, temperature and shock tests in compliance with the
German Environmental Standard DIN 58 390 80 and ISO 9022-8. As with all Zeiss
riflescopes, the 50mm series of CONQUEST scopes are filled with nitrogen to ensure that they
do not fog in extreme temperature changes. An industry-leading lifetime transferable warranty
insures the performance and function of the riflescope from generation to generation.
Available in matte black and stainless finishes, the CONQUEST 50mm series comes
with a standard number 20 (Z-Plex) reticle.
