Crimson Talon 100s by SpinTite Broadheads

Broadheads Manufacturer: Crimson Talon
Crimson Talon Model: 100s by SpinTite
Review Category: Broadheads

Purchase: Broadheads I needed new broadheads to go with my brand new setup for the upcoming Illinois archery season. I got the Crimson Talons from the local archery shop for around $37 for a pack of three.

Things I like about the Crimson Talon 100s by SpinTite Broadheads: The most outstanding feature about the Crimson Talons is their ability to stabilize the arrow with the curved blades. With six blades total, I knew they could do some damage, no matter how good the hit. These broadheads proved that to me on the third day of the season when a nice doe presented about a twenty yard broadside shot. As I released, I saw my hit was headed for the shoulder, and I cringed thinking I just ruined an easy shot. But thanks to these outstanding broadheads, the arrow passed through both, yes both shoulders and stuck into a cornstalk on the other side. This is awesome considering my bow only shoots about 270 fps. And the blood trail was even more amazing. The only time we slowed up while tracking the deer was when the spotlight died out!

What I don't like about the Crimson Talon 100s by SpinTite: One thing that I am slightly disappointed in with the Crimson Talons is that at about 25-30 yds they start to drop. I had to compensate by moving my pin down a hair, but I am still shooting one pin from 10-30 yds, so it's not too big of a deal.

Broadheads 100s by SpinTite quality: After the arrow passed through both shoulders the blades still have their curved shape and none have broken off. I will still by replacement blades for this one, but with just a little sharpening, this same broadhead could easily take another animal for me!

100s by SpinTite summary: Though a little on the expensive side, the bloodtrails and durability of these broadheads will satisfy anyone's demands from a broadhead.
