digital scounting cameras Trail Cameras
Trail Cameras Manufacturer: digital scounting cameras digital scounting cameras Model: Review Category: Trail Cameras
Purchase: I have not bought or used any of the scouting cameras (digital), because of simple design flaws.
Things I like about the digital scounting cameras : These units are designed to take a variety of digital pictures over a extended time period. Batteries and alternative power sources initially seem to satisfy user.
What I don't like about the digital scounting cameras : ALL of these units have design flaws that are easily correctable for the manufacturer without extendended design or production cost. None of these units are user friendly for extended long range (outback) utilization. Talon, Racktracker, Cuddeback, ect... all have specific agendas that are strong and weak points that are glaring and evident. Example - who needs a usb port - it's nice - a luxury - but why - create a camera port that compatable with quality sony, apple , or window digital equipment - camera (storage unit) - don't try to sell me garbage readers and add on nonsense. I want to kill big deer that I haven't spooked after I find the area that they are in, using a scouting camera. You want to see the deer - look on my wall, not a computer screen.
quality: Good solid construction with more nonesense add on gimics, nice computer stuff - it should be standard. I really enjoyed the racktracker and it's 180 degree activation field, camera battery saving set-up. All the cameras that I have had the pleasure to pick - up were solid - well made and designed cases.
summary: The bottom line is that I have already gone digital - three mdv cameras, G-4 twin 800 processors, photo labs, and if the manufacturers know what I'm talking about - and they Know - because they probably used apple to design these things - then stop trying to sucker the deer hunters by turning out questionable products at exorbident prices with add on's. Please go back to keeping it simple and talk to some real deer hunters about what they really need in scouting cameras. To all the hunter's out there - wait - things will get better - they will learn quickly that we may not be savy to all the non-sense they try to sell us - but with thw prices of these things - they should really have their act together BETTER.
