Purchase: Fishing Reels This was a gift, but I have seen it at Wal-mart for $24.99.
Things I like about the Shimano TX-4000 Reel Fishing Reels: This is a great reel for freshwater fishing, and though it recomends only 8-12 lb. test line, I use 16 lb. test and it still works great. The spinning is really smooth, which I attribute to the two ball bearings.
What I don't like about the Shimano TX-4000 Reel: The only problem I have had with this reel is that with the way I hold the rod, when reeling it sometimes hits my knuckles.
Fishing Reels TX-4000 Reel quality: Shimano has outdone themlselves in the construction of this great reel for such a low price.
TX-4000 Reel summary: This reel is great. I have caught bass, catfish, redfish, and bluegill all on this reel.
