Leupold Wind River Binoculars 10x50MM Prism Binoculars
Binoculars Manufacturer: Leupold Wind River Binoculars Leupold Wind River Binoculars Model: 10x50MM Prism Review Category: Binoculars
Purchase: I bought them from Cabela's for around $225.00 although Bass Pro and Gander Mountain also carry them.
Things I like about the Leupold Wind River Binoculars 10x50MM Prism: The only binoculars I ever owned were a cheaper compact pair and they were hard to adjust and keep them from moving. Also, when looking through them, they were always dark and hard to see anything.
In looking for a new pair, I decided to spend a little more money and get a good, full size pair of binoculars. In searching for that perfect pair, I came across Leupold’s Wind River series.
There are two main reasons I chose the Wind River series over other brands. First, it seemed to me that anything I looked at through them was crystal clear. It looked as if I were standing 10 feet from the deer rather than 100 yards from it. The second reason I chose them was how bright they were when looking through them – especially in low light situations. I was looking at a doe and two fawns the other day and could hardly see them due to being so dark. I grabbed my Wind River binoculars and could pick them out without any problems. I gave them to my friend, who never looked through them before, and he was amazed at how well he could see them.
They adjust easily and best of all, they stay adjusted to my eyes unless I physically change it. Combine them with Crooked Horn Outfitters Bino-Buddy and you have a perfect binocular system. Bino-Buddy keeps your binoculars out of the way by hugging your chest. You can even draw and shoot a bow without your binoculars interfering.
If you don’t want to spend more than $200.00 and still own a great pair of binoculars, I would highly recommend Leupold’s Wind River 10x50 Poro Prism Binoculars.
What I don't like about the Leupold Wind River Binoculars 10x50MM Prism: The only thing I would change if I could is the locking focus ring. Many times, the focus ring is locked and I have to fumble to unlock it rather than focusing on the game.
10x50MM Prism quality: I think the quality of these binoculars are superb. They are solidly built - for the long haul.
10x50MM Prism summary: Not spending an arm and a leg, you really get a great product for the price.
