Purchase: Calls Lures Scents I bought this call at the Cleveland Sport, Travel, and Outdoor show. Penn's Woods was puting on a seminar and I sat through it and they showed how it stil works when wet and how it does not need chalk. It cost me $20.00.
Things I like about the Penn's Woods Waterproof Wizard Calls Lures Scents: It has a great, raspy sound that the turkeys in my area of NE Ohio love. Also, all that you have to do to it is rub it down with a little scotch bright and the call sounds great, right out of the package. The fact that it is the only friction that i own that works in the rain is very helpful too.
What I don't like about the Penn's Woods Waterproof Wizard: When the call does get wet it tends to lose a little sounds quality but not much. You also can not make it as loud when it is wet.
Calls Lures Scents Waterproof Wizard quality: I have owned this call for three years and it has not broke or lost a bit of quality the whole time I have had it. It is very versatile and very well constructed.
Waterproof Wizard summary: This is now my favorite call to use in the woods. Calling in more turkeys every year with it, it has quickly become the most successful call I have.
