Purchase: Fishing Boats - Fishing Motors I learned of Keelshield on a website on a website and I purchased it as protection for my hull through a dealer in Charleston for $135.00 as a promotion sale.
Things I like about the KeelShield 8' Keel protector for Bassboats Fishing Boats - Fishing Motors: Ease of installation and Customer support. Piece of mind for my expensive boat when I have to beach it. Takes the worry out of loading and trailering.
What I don't like about the KeelShield 8' Keel protector for Bassboats: I have not found a fault with the unit in the past year that it has been installed.
Fishing Boats - Fishing Motors 8' Keel protector for Bassboats quality: In my opinion the construction and quality of a Keelshield is the best in the industry. Constructed of the best urethane polymers and the strongest 3M advanced pressure adhesive system that is nearly twice as thick as the nearest competitor.
8' Keel protector for Bassboats summary: I had made a post about keel protection for my boat. Now my friends say that I go a little overboard when it comes to caring and maintaining my bassboat. I received a reply from KeelShield stating they would like to send me a small sample of their product and see if I liked it. There was also another leading manufacturer of keel protectors on the website but he never posted any assistance. Well I got the sample in the mail and proceeded to submit it to abuses that I know my hull would never encounter. I took that sample and tried to tear it up and I had to admit that if it could stand up to the tortures I put it through that it would do just fine in protecting the keel of my $30,000 bass boat. I then decided to check out the adhesive material and it too passed all the subjective tests I put it through. I posted my results on the website and decided that this family owned company really cares about their product and their customers so I purchased one. I followed the easy step by step directions and installed the KeelShield as instructed and I’m happy to say that it’s been there for over a year and has given me piece of mind whenever I have to beach my boat. As for the company themselves, they’ve just signed on with Bass Pro Shops and West Marine. The product was very easy to install in just under two hours and comes with a LIFETIME Guarantee with no exceptions at all! With 14 colors to choose from and a variety of sizes for everything from Jet Ski’s to Flats Boats you cannot go wrong! Other companies with similar protectors, charge up to $600.00 for the same protection and they have to be installed at a dealership. Why waste your time having your boat at the dealer for a week or two when you can simply buy a KeelShield from Bass Pro and install it in a couple of hours for a fraction of the cost. Keelshield has the best customer support on the market and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for hull protection!.
