Purchase: Fishing Rods I needed a fly rod for trout. I bought a tfo TICR 5 weight 9 foot 4 piece fly rod for $200.
Things I like about the TFO TICR Fishing Rods: This rod casts like a dream! It is medium fast, and casts like a rod costing twice as much. Using this rod is like casting with a spring, your fly will fly throught the air with little effort.
My choices were between this and the Powell Tiburon 2. I decided on the tfo because rod repairs are only $25, which cant be beat. Plus, I have had tfo rods break from having fish and TFO sent a new rod for free.
What I don't like about the TFO TICR: The only negative thing I see with the rod is that if you break a section, TFO will not send you the section unless you send in the entire rod. I would prefer them sending just the section without you having to send in your rod.
Fishing Rods TICR quality: Proprietary use of titanium and chromium dampens shock and helps protect the rod from errant flies. Hardware includes 3 super-hard titanium oxide stripper guides, premium grade cork, matte black finished blanks with silver finishings and logos.Each rod weight has unique colored alignment dots and comes with a rod sock.
TICR summary: Awesome quality, awesome customer service, awesome warranty. You CANNOT go wrong with TFO.
