Wanted a a quality baitcast reel that was reasonably priced.
Things I like about the Daiwa Procaster 6+1 Fishing Reels: Durable all metal body and machined aluminum spool.
Good casting controls -- centrifugal brake and external dial for adjusting magnetic brake.
Smooth retrieves (6 ball bearings plus 1 roller bearing).
Comfortable low-profile design.
What I don't like about the Daiwa Procaster 6+1: Star drag is very good, but wish it had "click" settings like more expensive Daiwa reels.
Fishing Reels Procaster 6+1 quality: Excellent construction and quality. All metal body and machined aluminum spool are very well made. Casting controls adjust smoothly and hold their settings.
Procaster 6+1 summary: An excellent baitcast reel and an excellent price.
