Rage 2 Blade Mechanical Broadheads
Broadheads Manufacturer: Rage Rage Model: 2 Blade Mechanical Review Category: Broadheads
Purchase: Broadheads I purchased the Broadheads at Dick's Sporting Goods, Wesley Chapel, Fl. I normally shoot MUZZY broadheads but wanted to give the new Rage 2 Blade a try as I bought a new Alien X Bow and went to a carbon arrow shaft.
Things I like about the Rage 2 Blade Mechanical Broadheads: Accuracy at longer distances. No tuning required. Just screwed them on and started shooting. The wound opening is unbelievable on wild hogs and leaves a very nice blood trial.
What I don't like about the Rage 2 Blade Mechanical: I think they are a bit noisey in flight. I can hear the arrow going downrange to the target. I also do not like how they tend to open while in my quiver even though I bought a quiver just for these type BH's. Very frustrating to me to keep closing them back up.
Broadheads 2 Blade Mechanical quality: Built well and fly very much like a field point. The blades are very sharp and cut a massive entry/exit wound. I would like to see them with a larger cutting blade/tip on the front that will be more capable of passing through bone.
2 Blade Mechanical summary: Very solid Broadhead. I have shot several Wild Florida Hogs and although I did not get the passthrough I wanted as I hit shoulder blade each time, both the hogs I shot went down within 70 yards of impact. I plan to try the G5 Tekan to compare performance. I carry both MUZZY and Rage with the Rage primary especially if I am expecting more than a 25 yard shot.
