Wanted to get back into bow hunting.
Things I like about the Hoyt Power Hawk Archery Equipment: It has been around 15 years since I had shot a bow. I was really into archery back in high school and did a lot of bow hunting back then but after graduating I did not have the time. I have wanted to start shooting again for the past few years so this Christmas I bought myself a Hoyt Power Hawk. Since I had not shot a bow in so long I was a little worried about my shooting skills. The guy at K.C.'s Outdoors recommended the Power Hawk and set one up for me to try at their indoor range. I was amazed how smoothed it was to draw back and how easy it was to shoot. He adjusted the the bow to fit me and set me up with a dozen Easton Carbon ST Excel arrows. We got the sight set, and before I knew it I was shooting really tight groups at 20 yards. I cant tell you how thrilled I was. I could not be happier with how smooth and quite this bow shoots their is no hand shock after you shoot. Also it shoots really flat. I can use the same sight pin for 10 and 20 yards. Not only does it shoot great it looks really cool with the Realtree Camo.
What I don't like about the Hoyt Power Hawk: The only thing I can think of that could make this bow better would be a string stop. Also with the short axle to axle length of 32 inches, I would recommend to use a release, but that is not really something I don't like just a suggestion.
Archery Equipment Power Hawk quality: This bow can hold its own with any of the high dollar top of the line bows out their. It's not the fastest bow on the block but at 303 fps it outperforms most other bows that sell for the same price. It has awesome Realtree Camo.
Power Hawk summary: I would recommend this bow to anyone that is looking to get into archery. Even someone who has been shooting for a while would be really impressed with the performance of the Hoyt Power Hawk. It has been a while since I shot a bow but this bow is light years ahead of how my old bow shot.
