Hunter Safety Harness Hunter Safety Harness Tree Stands

Tree Stands Manufacturer: Hunter Safety Harness
Hunter Safety Harness Model: Hunter Safety Harness
Review Category: Tree Stands

Purchase: Tree Stands Purchased at Sportsmans Warehouse for $79. I purchased because the system I was using was difficult to put on, uncomfortable, and small. I wanted a system that was easy to put on, comfortable, easy to attach and detach from tree and had a few pockets to put items like a knife, range finder, candy bar, etc. I also wanted one that was adjustable so I can add or remove clothing as needed.

Things I like about the Hunter Safety Harness Hunter Safety Harness Tree Stands: The harness was easy to put on and had a couple of pockets for storing miscellaneous items in. The buckels for the leg straps and chest strap were easy to adjust, and the item was fairly cool to wear in warm weather. The price was reasonable as well.

What I don't like about the Hunter Safety Harness Hunter Safety Harness: Starting with the harness itself, I didn't like plastic buckles - -I weigh 260 lbs and plastic straps concerned me. I did not like how the harness attached to the tree strap. Without a D ring, carabiner buckle or some other type of quick connect/disconnect, I found my self fumbling in the dark trying to connect. Any additional movement in a tree makes you detectable by the animals. I also "hung" myself at home to test the comfort and was very disappointed. The leg straps do a real number on the groin crotch area

Tree Stands Hunter Safety Harness quality: The concept of the Hunter Safety Harness was fine-easy to put on, adjustable straps, etc. The quality was not as high as I hoped - plastic buckels, extremely uncomfortable to hang in, and the inconvienent method of attaching and detaching from the tree strap really disappointed me

Hunter Safety Harness summary: I will definitely replace this safety harness with another. Overall, the ultimate purpose of the safety harness is to protect you from falling to the ground. I'm sure the harness wouod have prevented that, but the shock of faling would have created pain much more severe in the groin than my home "hang' test, and I am not sure I would have been able to function properly due to the intense pain. I am not sure if Hunter Safety was aware of this when they marketed the harness, but if they were I will not be purchasing any more of their equipment.
