Rivers Edge Timbershot 17' Ladder Stand Tree Stands
Tree Stands Manufacturer: Rivers Edge Rivers Edge Model: Timbershot 17' Ladder Stand Review Category: Tree Stands
Purchase: Tree Stands I purchased this ladder stand at my local Gander Mountain. I bought this stand for the 2009 Pennsylvania hunting season. I paid $130.00 plus sales tax.
Things I like about the Rivers Edge Timbershot 17' Ladder Stand Tree Stands: The only good thing about this stand is the ease of going together.
What I don't like about the Rivers Edge Timbershot 17' Ladder Stand: The stand has armrests and they are to low to do what they are designed for. The stand has a shooting rail and it is a total joke. It sits way to low and is not out far enough from you when sitting in stand. The total seat design is to small for a larger person when you have all your warm weather clothing on. Just no room to move. So tight on platform there is no place for your rifle.
Tree Stands Timbershot 17' Ladder Stand quality: Construction is ok. Welds look fine.
Timbershot 17' Ladder Stand summary: I would not recommend this stand to anyone. Stand needs to be redsigned or just taken off the market. Stand may be ok for bow hunting that would be it. It is far from a rifle stand. I have written the company and have expressed my concerns and thoughts. Guess we'll see what happens from there. I sure did waste my money. Will not buy another River Edge product.
