Purchase: Hunting Gear Misc. I bought this gun at a local hunting store. I had been shooting a Remington 11-87 and really wanted a 3-1/2" mag. Therefore i traded my gun in on the mossberg 935. That was the worst thing i had ever done. I bought the mossberg 935 because of the looks and feel of the gun to me. Then again it was fairly cheap at 550$ for a 3-1/2" magnum waterfowl edition in max-4 camo.
Things I like about the mossberg 935 waterfowl edition Hunting Gear Misc.: The gun shoulders and took a great amount of abuse during the first duck season. I used it from everything to paddeling my boat to shooting ducks. The gun had very little recoil for magnum loads. The weight of the gun was not to bad at all.
What I don't like about the mossberg 935 waterfowl edition: Now to the bad part about my experience with the mossberg 935!!!!!!!!! This gun rite out of the box would not eject a 3" load to safe its life. I sent it to mossberg they claimed it was due to a failed weak spring. Got it back still no difference 3" load was still getting jammed. I took it to a local hunting store had the gun checked and cleaned. The gun smith there fired two 3" inch shells through it fine. I picked it up and got maybe three hunts with out a problem. Then it was back to jamming up again. I finally had enough and kept shooting the 3-1/2" loads which ejected fine.
Hunting Gear Misc. 935 waterfowl edition quality: The gun was built well. I am not the easiest on hunting equipment at all. The thing never left me hunt less. other than the fact i was destroying every close duck i shot having to use 3-1/2" inch shells.
935 waterfowl edition summary: This gun is highly NOT recommended by me at all. I had several problems with it jamming up on lighter loads. I put up with the problems from this gun for about two years rite out of the box from the store. It may had been a lemon i don't know but it sure worked my nerves having to eject light loads manually through an automatic.
