remington ghost cam 5.o Trail Cameras (m-s)
Trail Cameras (m-s) Manufacturer: remington remington Model: ghost cam 5.o Review Category: Trail Cameras (m-s)
Purchase: Trail Cameras (m-s) I bought it at walmart for early season deer scouting. I paid about $130 for the camera.
Things I like about the remington ghost cam 5.o Trail Cameras (m-s): I like the fact that it has infrared or flash feature, and the laser for easy targeting of a specific area. It looked tough and secure and for the price i thought it would be a great buy.
What I don't like about the remington ghost cam 5.o: The camera likes to shut off at random. Even with brand new batteries it will shut off after just a few pictures. The flash doesn't always work because the time changes after about 36 hours. This wouldn't be too bad, expect for the flash is centered around time. So more than half the pictures it takes are solid black or have white lines in them.
Trail Cameras (m-s) ghost cam 5.o quality: The over all construction is fair. But the mounting bracket gets weak after just a few days causing the camera to point down to the ground. The lock that comes with it can be opened with a small screwdriver, and the eye holes for the lock are easily breakable.
ghost cam 5.o summary: I have always purchased knives and guns from remington and loved them. As far the camera goes, my next one will not be a remington. I am confident i can buy a better digital camera for the money. The quality of this trail cam is poor at best. Nothing like driving 50 miles to see what kind of animals you have on your camera to find that the power is off and only a few pictures, and most of them are of a quality that measures up to a black piece of paper. I would recommend a 35mm camera before i recommend this one to anyone. Not worth the money or the disapointment.
