Purchase: Trail Cameras M-S Purchased 2 units from an on-line store for $120 each. This model was recommended by a friend.
Things I like about the Stealth Cam I540IR Trail Cameras M-S: Excellent quality of still photos (both day and night), and the unit is very easy to program. I've had deer spend over an hour in front of the camera without spooking. I'm using the 8 C-cells for power, and the battery status indicator still shows full power after 1 month of use. Trigger time is adequate - haven't had a picture of the back end of a deer yet.
What I don't like about the Stealth Cam I540IR: Shutter speed on the picture mode is slow for action shots - ends up a little blurry, so I wouldn't recommend using the camera on a game trail without placing scent or bait to make them stop. I wish the camo version was the same price as the black.
Trail Cameras M-S I540IR quality: High quality construction. My cameras have been out for a month now with frequent rain - totally dry inside when I check them.
I540IR summary: I am very satisfied with the pictures I've gotten. Picture quality is way more than adequate for identifying which bow stands I will be hunting this fall, some of the shots are even framing-quality. I've recommended the Stealth Cam I540IR to friends and family. I'm looking forward to trying out the video mode.
