Things I like about the Leupold Gold Ring HD spotting Scope 12X- 40X Rifle Scopes: Compact,lite weight, rubber coated,with easy to use protective zippered case without having to remove scope from the case while in the field. Very tough construction, made for hunting in rough terrain. Sharp image even in low light conditions. Long eye relief.
What I don't like about the Leupold Gold Ring HD spotting Scope 12X- 40X: No complaints.
Rifle Scopes Gold Ring HD spotting Scope 12X- 40X quality: Rubber armored. Power ring a little tight which makes for complete waterproofing. HD glass is sharp and clear even in low light. Cordura case keeps out dust and rain. Top quality. One tough spotting scope.
Gold Ring HD spotting Scope 12X- 40X summary: Leupold spotting scopes have been used by professional guides for years because they can take extreme abuse. You can buy European scopes for more money with a little better glass but in my opinion why waste your money. Forty power is plenty when hunting the west. I also use it for groundhogs in the east. There are better spotters but for the money and quality and a lifetime warranty they can't be beat. They are also used by military snipers because of their reputation.
