Shimano Tackle Bag model 3365-03 Fishing Misc Equip

Fishing Misc Equip Manufacturer: Shimano Tackle Bag
Shimano Tackle Bag Model: model 3365-03
Review Category: Fishing Misc Equip

Purchase: Fishing Misc Equip I bought this at K-Mart a few years ago, I believe for around $10, certainly no more than $15. I do a lot of "active fishing," meaning that I move around on shore, and often walk a good ways along a river. I wanted something lightweight and comfortable to carry. Prior to this I used hard tackle boxes exclusively, and needless to say it was a chore to carry them wherever I went. This tackle bag was a great solution!

Things I like about the Shimano Tackle Bag model 3365-03 Fishing Misc Equip: The bag is lightweight and can be comfortably carried for a long time due to the shoulder strap. After a few years of picking up and setting down the bag on every gravel bar I fish, it doesn't show much wear at all. The plastic boxes that fit inside organize most gear very well (I put my soft plastics and big items like pliers in the sode pockets, though) and are readily available at the discount chains, Bass Pro, etc. To keep weight down, it is sometimes nice to not put all the boxes in, taking along only what I will definitely need. I'm not much for fashion, but I do prefer this plain green tackle bag to the ones that look like they're made of a David Lee Roth jump suit. Finally, I like the fact that it ran around 10 dollars for a very useful item.

What I don't like about the Shimano Tackle Bag model 3365-03: It does not have a waterproof underside, which means that it can get soaked from the bottom up in a canoe. Some of Plano's higher priced models have a rubber coating on the bottom. Made in China.

Fishing Misc Equip model 3365-03 quality: After a few years of use the bag appears none the worse for wear, it is well constructed. The zippers have not failed so I honestly can't complain, but they seem like they are not the highest quality.

model 3365-03 summary: I reviewed this item because I thought it was a good value for the money, and something that can make a fishing trip better. The carrying strap alone is a great innovation for me. Model 3365-03 is the closest I could find to the bag I have and in fact is probably the updated version. The bag has held up very well for the wear it's gotten. It is at the cheaper end of Plano's line, so I would assume their other products are of high quality, too. Bottom line: a good addition to your fihing gear.
