Stealth Tree Cam MC2-BRTV Trail Cameras (t-z)
Trail Cameras (t-z) Manufacturer: Stealth Tree Cam Stealth Tree Cam Model: MC2-BRTV Review Category: Trail Cameras (t-z)
Purchase: Trail Cameras (t-z) The trail camera was purchased as a gift by my spouse for me. I wanted it to utilize in areas where I did not have the time to scout to allow me the ability to see what game was using particular trails or feeding areas. I believe she paid around $90 for the unit at the time she purchased it in November of 06.
Things I like about the Stealth Tree Cam MC2-BRTV Trail Cameras (t-z): I liked the fact it was light, not very expensive, and fairly easy to set up.
What I don't like about the Stealth Tree Cam MC2-BRTV: I don't like the fact it uses film instead of digital, The camera rewind started to fail after the third use and when I contacted the company I have no receipt, since it was a gift, and the business purchased from filed bankruptcy, so I have no warranty. One could at least expect a better service from the manufacturer. The unit strap broke on the first use and there is no way to "lock" it onto a tree to keep someone from taking it. The buttons to set the mode are small, cheaply made of rubber, and don't last.
Trail Cameras (t-z) MC2-BRTV quality: The quality of pictures taken were fair, there are numerous pictures that you only see part of the animal, I have used every setting on it to see if one would allow me to see the animals and then the roll of film is gone with limited pics. The strap has a plastic buckle and broke on the first use, there is no manner to secure the unit to a tree or secure the box closed to prevent vandalism of the unit.
MC2-BRTV summary: This particular camera is a flop, I own a small archery shop and will not sell products where the manufacturer does not work with its customer base. I have had better response from Moultrie and Cuddeback than I have with Stealth. The pics I have are very few for the money I have spent in developing film. I was told by a representative to take the camera to a dark room to manually remove the film! Then I can take the camera back out to my area after loading the new roll of film. I live 20 miles from my hunting area and gas is over $3 a gallon.
