Purchase: Broadheads I was recommended it by the pro staff at a local archery center.
Things I like about the Rage Broadhead 100-GRain 2 Blade Broadheads: It flies just like my field tips and does not get the "lateral rebound" that other mechanicals have shown me. The very first deer I shot with the Rage 2-blade last year was at 37 yards and I got complete pass through. The deer had only taken aout 4-5 steps when I saw the size of the hole it made and blood was litterally pouring out of it's chest. The doe ran about 45 yards and was dead. The hole it makes is immense, nothing like I have ever seen from a conventional broadhead. Then last November I shot my first P & Y buck at 33 yards, the arrow penetrated the deer and was sticking out the other side 6-8 inches...despite hitting the far side shoulder and bending the blades all up. the deer crumpled up just 40 yards from where it was hit.
What I don't like about the Rage Broadhead 100-GRain 2 Blade: When stalking through the brush the blade has a tendency to catch on things and "slip" to the open position. I did not have that problem from a stand though, probably for obviouls reasons.
Broadheads 100-GRain 2 Blade quality: One shot...one broadhead down...but that is all it should take and it is a good trade for an accurate deadly broadhead.
100-GRain 2 Blade summary: I have always been skeptical of mechanical broadheads until the Rage came along. I know it is a truly awesome broadhead and the first mechanical I have ever been willing to take in the woods...and I have been bow hunting since the mid 1980's. The size hole it makes, the flight, and the confidence I have when drawing back on my target is well worth the few extra dollars it costs over conventinal fixed blade broadheads. My freezer is full and I have never had a deer run over 45 yards since using this broadhead. I did not like the 3-blade Rage, but the 2-blade Rage is all I will use this season again!!
