Purchase: I made my purchase over the internet and had it shipped to a friends house in the US from basspro.com and I paid $139 US funds.
Things I like about the moultrie Gamespy 200: First off I liked the resolution of the camera and the fact that the date, time, temprature, and moon phase are imprinted on each picture. The price was right at $169 and when I seen it on sale for 139 I had to have it. The fact that it takes a 6v battery with a solar panel hook up was great as you can leave it in the bush for longer periods without having to worry about dead or low battery.
What I don't like about the moultrie Gamespy 200: I don't like the way the unit attaches to the tree with little bungie cords. I have seen other units with a metal cage which locks around the camera and then you attach the metal case to the tree. I think this makes the camera more secure and adds as a theft deturrent.
Gamespy 200 quality: The unit seems to be well built and put into a nice case which is waterproof. I hope it is, because its been raining here for the past few days and I haven't been in to check on it lately. I have the camo camera and it blends in nicely with its surroundings.
Gamespy 200 summary: I have only had the camera for a couple of weeks now and have set it up not far from my tree stand. Just before dark on the first night while sitting in my stand I seen deer pass by me and and moments later I seen my camera's flash. I was so excited and couldn't wait to see what the pictures were like. I walked in and switched the 256mb sd card with another one I have and went home and put the pictures on my computer. I was so pleased that I sent them to my hunting buddies and they were amazed at the quality of the pics. Setup of this unit is a breeze and I can't wait to check it again the pictures you get just adds that much more to the hunt.
