bowtech Tribute Bows

Bows Manufacturer: bowtech
bowtech Model: Tribute
Review Category: Bows

Purchase: 649.00 + tax Lyndon's Riverview Sports

Things I like about the bowtech Tribute: Grip is small/narrow, well balanced, super fast 304fps with a 385gr arrow set at 70# and 28.5 in draw. Very quiet. Hand shock is 2 on scale of 1-10

What I don't like about the bowtech Tribute: Only one small thing bothered me after purchase. That was this whaing noise the string made. I quickly noticed the peep was tyed wrong and after the correction no noise at all.

Tribute quality: Excellent craftmanship. No issues

Tribute summary: After shooting the Trykon and switchback I shot the Tribute. I had long been a mathews fan until I had a problem come up. Thats the last time I'll own a mathews. All three bows were great but I wanted speed most of all. Using my own 28" arrows weighting 385gr I shot the trykon at 70# and 29" draw. It shot 292fps. The switchback xt same setup shot 284fps. The tribute shot 304fps. It is not as smooth or quiet as the XT but smokes the trykon on speed, quietness and smoothness. What sold me on the tribute over the XT was when I walked up to the block target all the arrows shot with the tribute penetrated 4" to 5" deeper than with the XT. My only regret is now I wished I would have waited and shot the Mach X. Shoot all four before buying.
