Purchase: I bought this product from Cabelas for $199.99. It has excellant reception even in moderate tree cover.
Things I like about the Garmin 76: It is easy to use and has a clear large screen. I would recommend Garmin to anyone. It has a high level base map of North Americas major cities.
What I don't like about the Garmin 76: I wish I could download maps.
76 quality: Sturdy and floats too!
76 summary: This is a great unit with excellant features. If you want the detailed base maps or the ability to download maps, then you will need to pay an extra $100 for the model 76 map. Otherwise this a great package with high quality for the low price.
