Purchase: Was out deer hunting with a friend and he had a 700 in the 7mm. I came in to an inheritance and needed a new rifle and wanted to remember what I did with the money. I paid $550.00 Canadain at the time.
Things I like about the Remington 700 BDL 30-06: Accuracy, light weight and looks pretty much sums it up. The bolt action is slick and locks into place with ease. Not sloppy in the chamber. I purchased the rifle in the 30-06 cal as I wanted an all around gun. Something good for bears, moose elk and deer, yet still has reach.
What I don't like about the Remington 700 BDL 30-06: NOTHING
BDL 30-06 quality: Good solid walnut stock, been out in all kinds of weather and has NEVER FAILED ME YET.
BDL 30-06 summary: There are many types of fire arms out on the market. Don't let anyone try and tell you what to buy as you will be sorry. I can shoot this gun all day long and never fear the recoil, feels more like I'm shooting a .22.
