StealthCam MC2-GV Trail Cameras (t-z)
Trail Cameras (t-z) Manufacturer: StealthCam StealthCam Model: MC2-GV Review Category: Trail Cameras (t-z)
Purchase: Trail Cameras (t-z) Bought at Cabelas for $59
Things I like about the StealthCam MC2-GV Trail Cameras (t-z): This unit is easy to use and does not leak in water. But that is about it.
What I don't like about the StealthCam MC2-GV: You will be surprised that products like this are actually allowed to be sold.
After experiencing nothing but problems with the StealthCam I have searched the web for reviews. I am yet to find someone who is happy with the product.
The camera is taking 'ghost pictures' by itself every 12 or 24 hours. You think you have a film full of deer, but the only thing is pictures of an empty trail taken at 12 hour intervals.
It can not revind the film properly, but leaves the film unwind, and when you open the lid your film is exposed. The mechanism is probably to weak to operate properly.
The counter seems to stop at 26 regardless of the number of detections.
The low battery indicator does not seem to work at all.
The manual is more or less useless with poor pictures and explanations. As the unit is pretty simple to use, and there are not very many buttons you will be able to figure it out for yourself though.
Trail Cameras (t-z) MC2-GV quality: You will be surprised that it is actually possible to build in so many different problems into such a simple product.
The quality control at the factory seem to be non-existing.
MC2-GV summary: If you are willing to pay $60 for a waterproof box, this product is for you.
If you are not interested in pictures of your game, but want to document the trail at random times, this product is for you.
If you want nothing but problems, this product is for you.
If you want a working game cam - buy something else.
You can argue that "you get what you pay for". But when you get nothing but problems you should actually get paid for it. Stay away from this product!
