Purchase: Other I purchased the Cabela's Off-Road Tire Repair Kit from Cabela's for $24.99 plus $5.95 shipping and handling because I use my ATV in some of the harshest enviroments while hunting and finding my favorite fishing holes. I thought it would be a great idea to have some sort of flat repair while out in remote areas.
Things I like about the Cabela's ATV Off-Road Tire Repair Kit Other: I have to tell you the best thing about the kit is that it is small and it fits anywhere. I also can tell you from experience it is fast. It will have you up and running in about four minutes. I went up in Northern Maine last year with some buddies and we were just out having a good time trail riding when we had passed this area (It looked liked something out of the Wizard Of Oz) which was 73.5 miles out from the nearest dirt road. It was an old broken down camp that trees had grown through the roof. It must have been very old. Anyway about thirty feet past the camp I heard a big blow out, my rear tire had blown. Everyone was nervous except me. I grabbed my Tire Repair Kit and within minutes I was on the road again. Everyone decided to get one after they see how easy it was to pull me out of a real mess. I would have paid $100 at that very moment for that same kit
What I don't like about the Cabela's ATV Off-Road Tire Repair Kit : What I dislike about it is that I had to use two CO2 canisters to get the tire pumped up to full capacity. Could I have made it out on one canister? Probably but I figured why take chances. The kit comes with four CO2 canisters, so I still had two left
Other ATV Off-Road Tire Repair Kit quality: This kit contains four canisters of compressed C02,10 tubeless repair plugs, tire- valve adapter, rasp tool, split-eye insertion tool,1/2-oz. tube of rubber cement, valve cap/core remover and spare valve core. Comes in 5" x 8" zippered pouch with instructions and waterless hand cleaner. What more could you ask for? I am not sure why they put the waterless hand cleaner in kits for tough guys like me, it was nice to give to my wife after she fixed my tire. Ya right
ATV Off-Road Tire Repair Kit summary: If you want a small package that can be tucked anywhere and will get you out of a real jam, then this kit is for you. I wouldn't go out in the woods without it. Alos after you use the four canisters up, you can also buy 3 more canisters for $7.99. You can buy extra rubber cement and repair plugs right at Walmart for less than $5. It is a very nice kit.
