Bassmaster Tournament Angler 360 Tackle Bag Fishing Misc Equip
Fishing Misc Equip Manufacturer: Bassmaster Bassmaster Model: Tournament Angler 360 Tackle Bag Review Category: Fishing Misc Equip
Purchase: My old Flambeau Tri-Level Pro tackle box has been my best friend for almost 20 years. I could have not asked for a better tackle box. It is built like a tank and has not cracked, broken or failed since I bought it. Over the years, it has been covered and wrapped with tons of fishing related stickers to give it that extra unique look. It is always a great conversation piece whenever I take it out. The only problem is that no matter how well you pack it, you can only fit so much junk in your tackle box. This poor box was bursting at the seems with almost 20 years of fishing lures, worms, baits and tools. It got so bad that the lid would not close properly and I would always end up taking some things out so it would close. Well, I had enough and made the decision to drive to Bass Pro Shops (Hanover, MD) and get a bigger box. After a few hours of going over every box in the store, I came across the Bassmaster Tournament Angler 360. As soon as I picked it up, I knew this bag was one. The 360 bag retails at BPS for $44.99. A larger version of the same bag (model 370 bag)is available for $54.99. The bag is a great buy at $44.99 but I was lucky enough to get mine on sale for $29.99!
Things I like about the Bassmaster Tournament Angler 360 Tackle Bag: At first glance, the bag is stunning! It has the looks of a bike messenger's bag but the strength of high end backpack. It looks great with the main body in royal blue and side panels trimmed in black. It also has a nice touch of yellow piping that runs along the front of the bag. It also has the BPS logo and Bassmaster logos sewn into the top flap. The 360 bag is constructed of a heavy duty water resistant material. It has a hard bottom for extra durability and strength. The 360 bag also features lots of outside pockets which are perfect for holding scents, tools or small bottle of bug spray. Each end of the bag also has a nice size zippered pocket which are great for holding lots of things. I found that you two Flambeau #00220 spinner bait boxes fit perfectly in each pocket. The comes with 6 large top-loading 360 size utility boxes. Each box comes with adjustable dividers so you can make room for larger lures. Other great features include a hard sided sunglass holder, sturdy pull tabs on all the zippers and cool metal fish shaped keychain holder. The bag also comes with a shoulder strap (as well as a hand carrying strap on the top of the bag) which is great for carrying the bag and fishing at the same time. The shoulder strap also opens up a free hand which is perfect for holding a cold beer!
What I don't like about the Bassmaster Tournament Angler 360 Tackle Bag: There really is nothing about this bad that I don't like. I think it's great! If I had to come up with an improvement, it would be to have a side pocket that fits a can or water bottle. The side pockets on the side are just a bit too small for a bottle or can. It would be nice but not neccessary. It is still a great bag for any fisherman!
Tournament Angler 360 Tackle Bag quality: I have only had the bag for a short time but I do use it a lot. I go fishing almost every day after work as well as on the weekends. I know for a fact that water resistant material used on the bag has held up rather well. I have gotten in a few storms and the bag has been soaked but everything inside was nice and dry. The sunglass case is also a great that works well. My bag has been dropped and crushed but other gear floating around the truck and my shades have not broken.
Tournament Angler 360 Tackle Bag summary: If you need a nice medium sized tackle bag, please make sure you check this one out! You won't be sorry! If you are lucky enough to find it on sale...grab it quickly! I am sure that when I out-grow and fill this bag up, I will move on to it's bigger brother the Tournament Angler 370 bag. One last note for those old school anglers like myself who were worried about buying their first soft sided tackle box.....don't hesitate to switch to this bag. Dump the old heavy plastic boxes and get this bag!
