Purchase: My neighbor and I chewed a target up already this year and rather than risk pass thru on some good arrows we decided to buy a cheap target to get us through the last few weeks of heavy target practice. $39.99 just a couple of weeks back at Dick's Sporting Goods. The ad said half off, I'm not sure if that was just marketing or not. The ad said it has some cosmetic blemishes.
Things I like about the Blue Ridge Full Body Whitetail Deer Target: For such a cheap unit I'm impressed. As I said it's only been a couple of weeks, but it appears to be holding out well. Who knows it may slice in half tomorrow, but the early indications are good.
What I don't like about the Blue Ridge Full Body Whitetail Deer Target: Kind of a funny looking dear, and you almost half to chuckle when you pull up to it the first couple of times of the night. I know they have to make these things generic in size to suit all areas of the country, but here in Michigan this would be a pretty small buck. Maybe when I do pull up on one it will look like a huge target for me to hit.
Full Body Whitetail Deer Target quality: Like I said, so far so good. I wouldn't want several guys shooting at it everyday. At first glance the self healing foam seemed cheap, but it's working.
Full Body Whitetail Deer Target summary: For $39.99 we didn't go wrong. I don't have to worry about it leaving, or for that matter leaving it out over the winter. Good little investment. I've even heard of one guy who has a friend move his life size around his stand while he target practices. That might not be to bad an idea as long as you don't leave too much scent.
