Purchase: I purchased this reel at my local Sports Authority for $24.99. I bought this reel becasue i needed a medium sized reel that was a reasonable price
Things I like about the Shimano FX 2000 RA: I like this reel becasue it was very consistant as far as the way it cast and its durability
What I don't like about the Shimano FX 2000 RA: I disliked this reel for although it cast exactly the same every time and never flawed, it did not cast very far. It was a quality reel, but it did not perfrom as I expected it to.
FX 2000 RA quality: It was mainly plastic but that did not bother me. The look of this reel was fine for me, nothing dull but at the same time not overdoing it. Nothing broke on it in the seven months that I had it. I tuned it on a regular basis. I am not sure if it would perform the same unless i had regularly done that.
FX 2000 RA summary: Overall a quality BACKUP reel that casts the same on day one as does it on day 250 which is not very far (dissapointing) Besides that good reel to get if your serious about getting into fishing.
