NAP SHOCKWAVE 100gr Broadheads
Broadheads Manufacturer: NAP NAP Model: SHOCKWAVE 100gr Review Category: Broadheads
Purchase: Broadheads I purchased my first set of Shockwaves from my local Bass Pro Shop. I went hunting that year in the fall and after hearing a famous professional hunter bad mouth any and all mechanical broadheads and labelling hunters who use mechanicals as "lazy" hunters I was a little worried about this decision. But I had only paid $19.99 for a package of three and figured what the hey.
Things I like about the NAP SHOCKWAVE 100gr Broadheads: I hunted during the mid morning through the evening time and had a nice doe come in at 20 yards. Unfortunately I had broken the band that holdes the blades closed and had accidentally placed the wrong arrow on my rest. At 20 yards the doe turned quartering away from me with a fairly hard angle just as the "so called" pro had advised would cause a deflection and a in complete pass through. Not only did this arrow pass through from the right behind the lung, but exited the left shoulder with a huge exit hole that a blind man could follow the blood trail. So much for the professional opinion.
1. I prefer the huge hole left by the exit of this dynamic broadhead.
2. It flys like a field point.
3. It is cost effective and durable.
4. The trivex tip will bust through bone like a knife through butter.
What I don't like about the NAP SHOCKWAVE 100gr: 1. I do not like the fact that these broadheads require a small band to hold the blades closed.
Other wise these blades lack very little.
Broadheads SHOCKWAVE 100gr quality: These broadheads are made by NAP so the quality speaks for themselves and the are durable except for practice. I usually recommend that you use three for practice and three for hunting.
SHOCKWAVE 100gr summary: If you have little time for sighting and tuning your bow, and your budget is tight I recommend these broadheads. For the money you simply cannot beat these broadheads for price, quality, durability, and knock down power. If your thinking of changing broadheads then take a strong look at these and give them a try.
