NAP Spitfire 100 grain Broadheads

Broadheads Manufacturer: NAP
NAP Model: Spitfire 100 grain
Review Category: Broadheads

Purchase: I bought these broadheads from Cabelas at about $30 for a package of 3.

Things I like about the NAP Spitfire 100 grain: There is no planing, they really do fly like a field point. Penetration is great and blood trailing is a breeze.

What I don't like about the NAP Spitfire 100 grain: I like everything about 'em

Spitfire 100 grain quality: These heads are durable and the blades are razor sharp. The blade retention systems elimitates the need for O-rings or rubber bands, which I feel makes them better than the rest.

Spitfire 100 grain summary: My dad and I both use the Spitfires. Between the two of us, we have had many complete passthroughs at 30+ yards, and have yet to loose an animal (from whitetails to 400 lb hogs). I have heard of mechanicals deflecting off the animal when it was quartering away, but this year, I shot a 6 yr old whitetail at a pretty severe angle. I just aimed at his opposite shoulder. Before the arrow made penetration, it clipped his ham, just enough to open one of the blades and make a small cut in the hide. Without deflecting, it went in and hit the shoulder I was aiming at. At 40 yards, hitting the large leg bone stopped the arrow from exiting, but when we found him 50 yds later, there was more devastation in the vital area than any rifle shot I've ever witnessed.
