Fly Fishing - Bob Henley's TIE-A-FLYŽ Instructional Kits Teach Fourteen Stream-Tested Patterns

Fly Fishing - Press Release

Fly Fishing- If you've ever wanted to learn to tie a new pattern, but didn't have someone to teach you, or didn't know what materials are needed, or didn't have the materials on hand, you'll appreciate Bob Henley's TTE-A-FLY series. Created specifically for the fly tier whose fly-tying repertory may be limited, Bob Henley's TIE-A-FLY has kits for 14 patterns. Each kit provides a complete set of instructions and illustrations and all of the materials needed to complete a dozen flies. In addition, each kit includes a perfectly pre-tied fly to be used as a model for the tier.

Patterns in the Bob Henley's TIE-A-FLY series are the Elk Hair Caddis, Parachute Adams, Humpy, Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear, Pheasant Tail Nymph, A.P. Nymph, Prince Nymph, Royal Wulff, Stimulator, Adams, Black Winged Ant, Light Cahill, Olive Woolly Bugger, and Black Woolly Bugger.

Each Bob Henley's TIE-A-FLY kit includes 12 hooks and an ample amount of each "ingredient" necessary to produce a dozen flies in varying stream-tested sizes. For example, the Elk Hair Caddis kit features #12, #14, and #16 hooks. The recommended procedure is to begin with the four larger #12 hooks and, as the tier's fly-tying improves, graduate to the midsize #14 hooks and then to the smaller #16s. All hackle is sized, packaged, and labeled for each size hook.

For those patterns calling for copper wire and/or lead wire, the wire is cut into 12 pieces that are sized, packaged, and labeled. There is no tangling or twisting. Select a length, apply it to the pattern, trim off the excess and discard. No need to scrimp on the materials, there is plenty for your use.

Besides being a learning experience. Bob Henley's TIE-A-FLY is proving to be the handiest, most convenient way to transport fly-tying materials to the streamside. With each kit containing enough material to tie a dozen flies, the need for cumbersome tackle boxes and heavy fly-tying cases is eliminated. For ease of handling, all materials and the instructions and illustrations for each of the 12 patterns, are packaged in individual waterproof quick-sealing bags.

The Bob Henley's TIE-A-FLY kits are $19.95 each plus $3.85 for USPS Priority Mail shipping regardless of the size of the order. Make your selection of the patterns that you would like to begin with on the secure order form that is located on the Tie-A-Fly web page.
