KAHLES OFFERS POPULAR LONG DISTANCE RETICLE IN TWO ADDITIONAL SCOPES Press Release
CRANSTON, RHODE ISLAND -- In response to customer demand, Kahles announces the expansion of the popular TDS reticle to the American Hunter 2-7x36 and 3.5-10x50 riflescopes. The popularity of the TDS, or Tri-Factor Reticle System, is growing as improved rifles and cartridges extend long range shooting capabilities. The TDS system, featuring a proprietary precision aiming system that is incorporated into the reticle compnonet, is now available in three popular American Hunter riflescopes; the 3-9x42, 2-7x36 and 3.5-10x50.
This precision aiming reticle, designed by former Air Force Fighter Pilot, Lt. Col. T.D. Smith, provides a hunter with a straight-line aim to a given target. This is corrected for distance and cross wind. Four range marker bars are incorporated into the reticle, giving the shooter a specific aiming reference point on an intended target at extended distances.
Field tested and designed to work with most commercially made ammunition, this unique and effective system compensates for various bullet types, weight and the ballistic coefficient of the annumition being selected. A user-friendly brochure on the system is provided with each Kahles TDS riflescope, complete with quick reference decals that assign range values to each of the four range marker bars, based upon caliber and ammunition used.
In addition to its accurate long-distance aiming system, the TDS reticle can be used to determine range to various game at extended distances. The ranging capability of this extraordinary reticle system is accomplished by using the size of the various game hunted computed against the space between the horizontal crosshair and the four range marker bars; this determines the range to the animal. As an easy reference, each TDS scope comes with a chart that details the average size of most North American game species.
All Kahles American Hunter riflescopes now offering the TDS reticle are compact, lightweight and feature 1" durable aluminum main tube construction. Multi-coated lenses with a proprietary coating provide maximum light gathering capability with brilliant image resolution and sharp edge-to-edge clarity. Both the 2-7x36 and3.5-10x50 offer one-piece construction, generous eye relief, are shockproof, waterproof and are offered with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
