TENTS-Ultra-Fresh DM 50 - New technology eliminates mold The market leader in the tent category solves the tent mold and mildew problem with Ultra-Fresh DM-50. When a tent is stored wet, it promotes the rapid growth of microorganisms that eat away at the tent?s waterproof coating leading to deterioration.
Sierra Designs, in conjunction with Thomson Research Associates, has found a revolutionary new way to protect its tents against the growth of Aspergillus niger (black mold). All rain flies and floors of Sierra Designs tents are treated for the lifetime of the product with an exclusive application of an antibacterial finish called Ultra-Fresh DM-50. This advancement in tent protection will be very important in rainy conditions that require rolling and storing of a wet tent as well as rental programs that have users bringing in damp tents. The SuperSeal Floor has the advantages of a catenary cut floor and bathtub floor combined.
A raised perimeter seam means guaranteed waterproofness with no need to seam seal the tent floor. Taut side seam means better wind protection so the tent floor doesn?t whip in the wind.
