PSE ARCHERY INTRODUCES “BOAR’N THE USA” VIDEO Press Release
Tucson, AZ – Precision Shooting Equipment,
manufacturer of high quality compound bows and accessories since 1970, announces the introduction of a new wild hog hunting video with the tongue -incheek title “Boar’n the USA”. This video is pure spot and stalk excitement from
the first stalk of a bristling oinker to the final pack
trip out of the hills with a giant boar.
While the
video’s title takes a playful stab at irreverence, the
film itself is serious bowhunting fun. All of the hosts
and guests take their pig hunting very seriously.
PSE regulars Pete S hepley, Scott Eastman, Dan Perez, John May, Richie Bland,
Ray Howell, and Wayne Piersol (among others) take you on a hoggin’ odyssey
all across the country. You’ll visit the swamps of Florida, the rugged cactuscovered
plains of Texas, and the lush rolling foothills of northern California. The
action is as varied and interesting as the many destinations the men hunt.
One of the video’s most interesting segments occurs when Dan Perez, who was
born to the pig-rich Deep South, shares some of his scouting savvy. It is
enjoyable to watch as he extends his whitetail patterning skills to explain “hog
rubs” and “boar cuts” and other sign while explaining much of the pig behavior
and hunting strategy behind this popular off-season target. Then you will be
awestruck as Dan becomes a human hog and proceeds to put on a display of
calling that contains some amazingly realistic noises. No, the word Soo-EEE
never rumbles from his throat.
Those who haven’t visited northern California will marvel at the land’s beauty and
at the serious nature of the hog hunting that takes place there. It is fascinating to
watch Pete Shepley and several others hunt in and around food plots planted
specifically to lure hogs for bowhunting. The aged oinkers they hunt are as wary
as many big game species.
If you like action-packed, light-hearted bowhunting fun, you’ll love PSE’s new
“Boar’n the USA”. This film, and all future PSE videos, is available on both VHS
and DVD.
