Since 1989, B&P has been exclsusively licensed to use the Gordon Sytem, a revolutionary method for manufacturing cartridge cases. The Inner base of the case features a conical profile and a progressive dampening spring operated when the shot is fired. This "mobile" action of the case reduces generated pressure, but more than anything limits the physiological effect of recoil making the cartridges shoot "softer" without affecting performance. This conical shape of the case base improves powder combustion and consequently cartridge yield.
The Gordon System
The best shot shell components available are wrapped in the most technically advanced case ever developed. The plastic case extends through the brass forming a moving combustion chamber. A collapsible basewad cushions felt recoil while a conical powder chamber improves combustion for maximum downrange capabilities. Result: Greater payload efficiency with less felt recoil.
Positive Ignition
Primer selection varies with charge capacity and burn rate. While others make do with only one primer, B&P initiates complete component deployment with a variety of primers for matched efficiency in every shooting endeavor.
Better Patterns
We utilize seventeen different plastic wad variations to optimize performance required by the specific shooting event. The dual stage wad shown requires 22 pounds of pressure for the first stage and 55 for the second, reducing setback and shot deformation resulting in controlled downrange dispersal.

Sixteen powder formulas provide optimum burning characteristics balanced for each shot weight, velocity, and application.
Our production lines run at fifty percent of maximum speed and are stopped every ninety minutes for velocity and ballistic testing. These production techniques far exceed industry standards.
