Marryat -CMR Reels

Release

This is the reel you’ve been waiting for. It could be the quality of the materials. Or the Swiss-precision manufacturing. It might be the world-famous Marryat engineering. Or perhaps it’s the many years of fishing experience that went into it. Whatever the reason, when you pick up this reel, you know right away, it’s something special.

It’s Built to Please.br>
With its world-famous Marryat “disc-brake” system, the CMR lets you set exactly the amount of drag you want – from 0 to 25 ounces. Our “quick-change” mechanism lets you change spools with a mere flick of a finger. And the exposed palming rims give you the added control you need to land even the most determined fish. The anodized finish – whether gold, bronze or black – makes the CMR equally at home in saltwater as it is in a pristine mountain stream. You can also choose between two modes of audible operation – click out/ silent in, or completely silent. And the sealed drive cassette will never, ever, need maintenance.br>
It’s Built to Perform. br>
When you’re fishing, the last thing you want to have to pay attention to is your reel. So we craft the CMR with the same machines and tolerances (.0003”) used to manufacture Swiss watches. And every reel is made from the highest quality, bar-stock, aircraft aluminum, then anodized for durability. Which is why the CMR gives you such a smooth, durable action and superior line capacity – yet is still one of the lightest reels you can find anywhere. And it’s also why the CMR comes with an unlimited, lifetime warranty.br>
And it’s Built to Last. br>
Marryat not only make their reels for peak performance and minimum weight – they are built to endure. To make sure it would stand up to the most rigorous conditions, the new CMR was put through a few rather demanding tests. First line was pulled off the reel at 8,210 RPM for 30 seconds straight. – there was absolutely no wear visible on the shaft or the cassette. the cassette was left in saltwater for four days. It was put in river gravel and stirred 50 times, and then lake sand. It was then left in the wet sand overnight, and stirred again. For good measure, it sat underwater for yet another night. After cleaning the cassette with a cloth and blowing it off with compressed air, it was put back in the reel – and it worked perfectly. Now that’s what you call durability.br>
But its Price May Be the Best Feature. While it offers the looks, features and feel of more expensive reels, you’ll find the CMR surprisingly affordable. Because Marryat feels that every serious fisherman deserves a finely crafted reel. Comes with an unlimited lifetime warranty.br>
