Henry Repeating Arms-Golden Boy .22LR & .22 Magnum
Press Release
We were honored when the readers of Guns & Ammo magazine selected the Henry Golden Boy as “Rifle of the Year” in 2001. It was the very first time a rimfire rifle won this prestigious award.
Whether you choose one chambered for .22 LR or .22 Magnum, the Henry Golden Boy is a masterpiece of fine crafted gunsmithing. Any shooting enthusiast who closely examines one is immediately impressed with the excellent fit, finish and overall visually elegant design.
The Golden Boy’s awesome 20-inch blued octagonal barrel, American walnut stock, brass buttplate and gleaming Brasslite receiver will transport you back to the wild and wooley days of America’s Old West, when our company founder Benjamin Tyler Henry designed the original Henry lever action rifle.
Small game hunters and plinkers will appreciate its substantial 63/4 pound heft. It balances well and makes for highly accurate offhand shooting. The smooth action associated with Henry rifles opens and shuts with the effortless slickness lever-lovers long for. Get one in your hands and take aim. See what a natural pointer it really is.
Adding to the historic authenticity is the adjustable buckhorn-type rear sight. The .22 LR version holds 16 rounds. The Magnum holds 12. Both will provide a whole lot of shooting pleasure before it’s time to reload their tubular magazines.
The Henry Golden Boy is one beautiful .22 that’s affordably priced so you hombres won’t have to rob a stagecoach to own one. All we ask is that you mosey on down to your local gun shop and ask to see the Henry Golden Boy. You’ll definitely agree it’s the rifle that brings out the West in you. www.henryrepeating.com

Okuma-Titus Gold Series
Press Release
Okuma designed the Titus Gold for those anglers in search of the strongest, fastest fish in the ocean. Powerful fish such as tuna, and speedsters like wahoo were the primary targets for designing the Titus Gold. The side plates and one-piece frame of the Titus Gold are machined from T6-6061 aluminum. This offers precision alignment of the forged aluminum spool for the smoothest free spooling around.
The castability of the Titus Gold is further enhanced by five stainless steel ball bearings. The internal strength of the Titus Gold originates from the stainless steel main gear and pinion gear. Both of these gears were engineered with angled teeth and oversized for the strongest possible gearing available. To compliment the strength of the new Titus gears, Okuma equipped the Titus Gold with the smoothest most powerful, oversized composite and stainless steel, sealed drag washers. The loud clicker is also designed with an all-new stainless steel pawl. The aluminum frame is available in two models--an open face, one-piece frame for fisherman who want to increase their casting distance and a level-wind model featuring a top bar for down rigging and bottom fishing.
Quality workmanship can be seen throughout the Titus Gold. The tension control knob for drag adjustment and the drag lever itself are both forged aluminum. The construction of the handle is stainless steel with a machined aluminum tubular handle knob to match the reel's gold finish. The finish of the Titus Gold is polished anodized aluminum gold and complemented with etched cosmetics. Introducing the Titus graphite lever drag reels

GET A GRIP WITH KERSHAW'S NEW BLUR FROM CUSTOM KNIFE MAKER KEN ONION
Release
WILSONVILLE- Kershaw's new Blur, with Speed-Safe assisted opening, has all the features knife user's love in a Ken Onion knife, all the quality they expect from Kershaw, plus a secure, new grip that just won't quit.
It's a fact-most knife injuries occur because of a poor grip on the knife. Kershaw's new Ken Onion Blur solves the problem with a unique handle that features advanced materials to ensure a safe, secure grip every time-even under extreme conditions. And, because it's an "Onion knife" from Kershaw, the new Blur also features incredible, multi-tasking performance, the highest quality materials, and the kind of good looks knife users will be proud to own.
The key to the Blur's "Trac-Tec" grip is its combination of unique handle ergonomics and the "grip tape" inserts on both sides of the handle.
Ken Onion designed the Blur's handle to precisely fit the user's hand, providing a comfortable, secure feel. For lightweight, the handle is built of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. (Anodizing produces a porous coating that can absorb dyes to produce extremely scratch-resistant, colored surfaces.) The Blur is being produced in two colors, model 1670BLK matte black handle with black inserts and a black blade and model 1670RD a deep, matte burgundy-red with black inserts. Each model is available with partial serrations.
The inserts are vital to the Blur's amazing grip. Kershaw CNC mills each handle to accept these textured, "Trac-Tec" inserts-inserts made of the same material skateboarders use to stay securely on their boards even when executing aerial turns and flips. In the Blur's case, the Trac-Tec tape inserts offer a rough, dry feeling that ensures a solid grip even in the most damp or slippery conditions.
For strength, the Blur's 3 1/2-inch, drop-point blade is hollow ground of 440A stainless blade steel. This grade of steel is strong, features excellent edge-retention properties, and rates a durable 55-57 on the Rockwell Hardness Scale. Folded, the Blur measures 4 1/2 inches and weighs in at a comfortable 4.2oz. For additional safety, the blade is secured within the handle by a sturdy locking liner until ready for use.
The Blur also features Kershaw's famous Speed-Safe assisted-opening system. This proprietary technology enables the knife user to open the Blur with one hand. The user gives a short push on the thumb stud (left or right-handed) and the blade moves into position smoothly and easily. It then locks into place for safe, secure use. The Blur also features a removable or reversible pocket clip.
Model 1670BLK and 1670BLKST retails for $99.95 and the 1670RD and 1670RDST retails for $89.95 Both models are available July 2003.
The new, secure-grip Blur is built to maintain Kershaw's worldwide reputation for quality and innovation. The company prides itself on using the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art techniques to produce knives and other cutting tools that are prized throughout the world.
HOW THE BUMP GOT ITS BUMP
Facts About Kershaw's New, Limited Edition Ken Onion Knife
and its Dramatic, New Blade Shape
WILSONVILLE- It's got a completely new blade shape-with a curved "bump" just forward of the blade's middle. But since the Bump (Model 1590BL and Model 1590GR) is from Kershaw Knives and Ken Onion, that interesting bump isn't just for show; it has a purpose in performance.
According to custom knife maker Ken Onion, the new Bump-which also features the Speed-Safe assisted-opening mechanism-is designed for multi-tasking, minimal mass, and maximum performance. "I wanted to make the Bump as multi-tasked as possible," says Onion. "The blade design is unique, but at the same time, it's very practical and fluent at a large number of jobs."
In a tougher cutting situation-for example, cutting a half-inch branch-the bumped blade shape provides maximum leverage and cutting ease. For piercing, the blade's point is precisely centered so that the energy is distributed evenly down the handle to offer greater power with less effort.
The four-inch blade is flat ground for strength and built of S30V stainless steel. S30V is made through a metallurgical process that results in extremely uniform molecules; so much so that inclusions or impurities are eliminated or insignificant. The process creates steel that is strong, workable, and has excellent edge-retention properties. It rates a durable 55-57 on the Rockwell Hardness Scale.
But the blade's bump isn't the new knife's only performance-enhancing bump. Kershaw's Bump also features a bump on the handle. The CNC-machined handle includes an anti-rotation bump that keeps the knife from rolling out of the user's hand-even if he's pressing down hard during a cutting task. The four-and-a-half-inch handle fits the hand precisely and is constructed of 6AL4V titanium for lighter-than-steel weight and strength. The 1590BL's handle has a scratch-resistant, anodized, blue finish with gold accent stripes. The 1590GR's handle is green with gold accent stripes. Its textured surface provides comfort and an extra-secure grip. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade within the handle until ready for use. The entire knife weighs in at a comfortable 4.3 oz.
Thanks to Kershaw's Speed-Safe assisted-opening system, the Bump offers maximum flexibility in opening technology as well. The proprietary Speed-Safe technology enables the knife user to open the knife with one hand-left-handed or right-handed. The user gives a short push on the thumb stud and the blade moves into position smoothly and easily. It then locks into place for safe, secure use. Alternately, the user can open the blade with the Index Finger Opening System. By pulling back on the Index Opening knob with the index finger, the Speed-Safe system is engaged and the blade moves into place. When the knife is fully open, the Index Opening knob becomes a finger guard to protect the user's hand.
The Bump is being serial-numbered. It will be available beginning in June of 2003. It comes in a zippered, collector's pouch. Manufacturer's suggested retail price is $275.
The exciting, new Bump is built to maintain Kershaw's worldwide reputation for quality and innovation. The company prides itself on using the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art techniques to produce knives and other cutting tools that are prized throughout the world.

Optics
I bought my new unit over the net at a company named scopes and more. Don't tell my wife, but the scope cost just a little over $700.00.
The lighting is incredible. I took it out to a friends farm the other night coupled with my .270 bdl and we were able to shoot almost until complete darkness.
I miss the view offered by my last scope which was a wide view. I guess the old adage is correct, you've got to give up something to get something.
It's sealed tight and I'll be real surprised if I ever have a problem with this one foggy up like some of mine have in the past.
I'm very happy with the new scope. It's placement is awesome, and the lighting is the best I've experienced in a scope I've owned.

Off the net at Granpa Joe's site. What did I spend too much.
It was a great conversation piece at the club both before and after I got it. Okay I had a few beers when I brought it up and now find myself with the nick name of uncle joe.
I think the sweet smell is apple juice and pee dried on sawdust. Wow, was that a waste of my money, in my last few scouting trips I must have smelled like a French ****Editor note! Keep it clean!
Doesn't apply
Hey, I got a few good laughs out of it and my buddies might still be laughing. Next their going to have Ginseng to improve the deers memory so they recognize you in the woods next year. I don't mean to be tough on Uncle Joes, who knows maybe something I was wearing was giving me away.

I thought the guys were joking when they showed me this oversize wrist watch in oor local hardware store. They said they might pitch in to get me one for my birthday, well here I am with my new Wrist Sonar, although I assure you I don't have it on now.
I gave it a good try and I don't.
Why would someone use something so small when for a little bit more money you could buy a full size unit that will work a lot better. I'm supposed to attach this thing to my line?? I'd much rater put a buzz bait on the end of my line and try to catch something than a sonar, although I do think I had something hit on it once. Read on and I'll tell you the outcome.
The watch makes a real nice conversation piece so I think I'll wear it out the next time I go to a cock tail party. It'll be like my Dick Tracey watch, maybe I'll beam somebody up.
Well a long story short there are this thing we all face called snags and you guessed it that's where the other part of my unit is to this day. Does anyone want to buy half a hummingbird sonar unit?

Pirahna 5 Fish Finder
Fish Finders
My Boss is going through a divorce so I took it off his hands and all he wanted was $80.00. I've seen these for close to $200.00 at local tackle stops.
It goes all the way down to 600 feet which is good for some of the lakes I fish. The display is nice compared to some others I've seen that have to be shaded just to see the screens output. It also have the water temperature feature which is a lot better than ten years ago when you had to check it by hand. Kids now days don't know how good they have it.
I have some problems hearing and I'm not sure if it's the tone I can't hear or just not loud enough. Sometimes my wife has to let me know when the tones are going off, but I guess you can't blame it on the machine.
Solid buttons and the menu seems to be well thought out. The unit seems like it will stand up to most anything Mothernature brings on.
I feel real bad for taking this off my boss's hands. Maybe when he gets back on his feet and has time for fishing I may give it back to him, yeah but then again maybe not.

Gun Safes
My husband bought this from a friend of his, and he would not tell me how much he paid, so I assume it was expensive.
EVERYTHING! I didn't realize how valuable this unit was until our home was robbed while we were asleep.
I have to say that there is nothing that I dislike about this safe.
I got this information from a website:
• UL Listed burglary resistant TL-15 (RE6528) and TL-30 (RF6528).
• Fire endurance: tested at an independent facility in a gas furnace at temperatures up to 1850° F, for a period of 2 hours. Interior temperature did not exceed 350° F.
• Massive 3 ½" body and 5 ¾" door
• Group IIM lock protected by a drill resistant hardplate. Spy proof key locking dial provided on LS & LG models. Front read key locking dials provided on LT model.
• 10 1½" diameter chrome plated locking bolts.
My family was asleep after returning from vacation. This safe is located in our basement gameroom. I was always afraid that my husband kept his guns and hunting rifles in the closets and our son was becoming curious (he was 2 at the time.) I talked my husband into getting a safe or cabinet and he purchased this one. Not until we woke the next morning did we find that our basement window was broken and our computer was gone. There were marks on this safe as if someone had attempted to break into it, with no success. If they had been able to get in, I am afraid of what would have happened.
