Fishing- The Lightning Rod by Berkley is America’s #1 selling graphite rod. Now the new ProLite Series are lighter, stronger and the choice of professional bass and walleye anglers. The rod blank for the ProLite is made from a low aerial fiber weight graphite material that is half as thick as typical graphite blank. Less material is needed for the same strength in a rod making the ProLite a much lighter rod. To get their signature technique actions, Hank Parker, Ken Cook, Gary Roach and Buzz Ramsey have individually selected the IM7 blank for the specific model of rod.

The exclusive Quick-Lok reel seat is streamlined, fast and secure. Reels are locked into place using a ratchet system without the need to rotate a clamp on threads. Chromium SS304 guides are 20 times tougher yet up to 55% lighter than aluminum oxide guides. The Concept Guide spacing system improves sensitivity and maximizes blank strength.

The 28 models of ProLite rods cover a wide reach of fishing applications including spinning, casting, flipping, trolling and planer board, muskie, and salmon/steelhead. Actions range from ultra light spinning on a 5’0" rod to an 8’6" medium Salmon/steelhead rod to a heavy action on the 6’4" muskie rod.

Suggested retail prices start at $54.95 for the spinning and baitcast rods with salmon/steelhead rods priced at $79.95.
